Career Summary

In all the churches I served, I endeavored to help them reach new people for Christ and to help those who were already Christians to grow spiritually and get more involved in serving others, both inside and outside the church. All five churches where I served as pastor grew significantly in worship attendance, and three of the five grew in Sunday School attendance. Members took tithing more seriously and church budgets increased significantly in all five churches. Similarly, giving to Leland increased and the seminary budget increased from the mid $600,000s before I arrived to the $800,000s in 2017. Two churches I served ordained their first ever women deacons and one eventually added 25 women to its diaconate under my leadership. Two churches elected women as deacon chairs for the first time. Many church members put their faith into practice by participating in mission trips or “Operation Inasmuch.” My strengths are preaching and teaching the Bible, recruiting and developing young leaders, and genuinely caring for members of the church and community.
